Check out this band&#8217;s covers of MGMT&#8217;s &#8220;Kids&#8221; or Estelle&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DogGSRUxfbM&amp;feature=channel_page\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;American Boy&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rjx5_-SPhk0?wmode=transparent&amp;fs=1&amp;hl=en&amp;modestbranding=1&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;showsearch=0&amp;rel=1&amp;theme=dark&amp;feature=channel_page\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Stanford University even has its own iPhone ensemble, called the <a href=\"http:\/\/mopho.stanford.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"xLink\">Mobile Phone Orchestra<\/a>, or MoPhO. MoPhoO director, Ge Wang, developed his own application for the group, called <a href=\"http:\/\/ocarina.smule.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"xLink\">Ocarina<\/a>, which turns the iPhone into a woodwind-like instrument sensitive to touch, movement, or breath.<\/p>\n<p>The App Store has music applications for everything from digital drum pads to mash-up machines to kazoos. Some of the most popular include Jumpei Wada&#8217;s Mini Piano, Curious Brain Inc.&#8217;s TouchCords, and Magnus Larsson&#8217;s DigiDrummer Lite, all free. These apps are very user friendly, allowing even the least music-tech savvy people try their hand at a little music production.<\/p>\n<p>Just another way technology is allowing a more hands-on experience for enjoying music, much like <a href=\"http:\/\/remixwizard.mixmatchmusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"xLink\">MixMatchMusic&#8217;s Remix Wizard<\/a> allows artists to bring <a href=\"http:\/\/evolvingmusic.wordpress.com\/2009\/07\/28\/sxsw-spotlights-artist-fan-collaboration-in-new-film-about-music-2-0\/\">fans into the mix through remix promotions<\/a>.
