For more on this story, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/channel\/life\/dn12993-chimps-outperform-humans-at-memory-task.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spinning Lady Illusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/evolvingmusic.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/12\/spinninglady.gif\" title=\"spinninglady.gif\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/evolvingmusic.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/12\/spinninglady.gif\" title=\"spinninglady.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/evolvingmusic.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/12\/spinninglady.gif\" alt=\"spinninglady.gif\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Many of you have probably already tried this. I found the observations in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theness.com\/neurologicablog\/index.php?p=27\" target=\"_blank\">this blog entry<\/a> (and some of the comments) more insightful than many of the other spinning lady links I checked, which merely use the image as a right brain vs. left brain test. At first I was stuck on counter-clockwise, but she suddenly changed directions while I was reading below the image that &#8220;our brains did not evolve to interpret two-dimensional representations of the world but the actual three-dimensional world.
